The changing robe concept has been embraced by outdoor adventurers the world over and for good reason. It is one of the most useful pieces of gear you’ll ever own and our Saltrobe is one of the finest examples on the market... and now you can get a metallic one!
We believe a changing robe needs to offer maximum protection from the elements and additional warmth on cold or rainy days. No matter the season, or the weather our Saltrobes will help you stay dry & warm for all your outdoor adventures.
The inner lining is a comfortable, fluffy & thick fleece. Our carefully selected fabrics are particularly cozy & kind to your skin. The robe has two inner pockets (one perfect for your phone, the other perfect for our Saltrobe Hot Water Bottle) & two outer pockets, velcro sleeve fasteners, a hood, and an incredibly robust zip!

What size should you order? The Saltrobe design is not your average size but instead loose enough for you to pull your arms inside and get changed or alternatively, simply wear as an 'over everything' outer warm layer. The fit is supposed to be an oversize style - it is not a fitted coat. Our smaller sizes are shorter in length (as seen in some of our photos) as well as a smaller overall size.
We have 2 sizes available in our metallic robes:
- Kids/Adults Small: Suitable for ages 7 - 16 or a small adult (4'5 up to 5'1)
- Medium/Large: Suitable for (almost everyone) 5'1 up to 6'5.
Please be advised the smaller size are both smaller in width AND in length so an adult size small on someone 5'8" will come to their knee.
When will you use it? Anywhere you like - but perhaps surfing, swimming, fishing, hiking, camping, boating, walking, outdoor spectating events; music festivals, football, rugby, apres ski,…and any other adventure life takes you on!
